Advantages of 4C hair

We all know 4C hair has been shamed so many times in the natural hair community. A lot of people with 4C hair struggle to accept their kinks and see the beauty of it. And the SHRINKAGE!!! We all know SHRINKAGE IS SO REAL which can be a major turn off. Or maybe it doesn't have to be. We need to see more girls with 4C natural hair on the media, movies, and music videos. 4C hair is beautiful too! We need to stop setting unrealistic hair goals and start accepting and appreciating it for what it does. Who's with me?

In this video, I explain the advantages of having 4C natural hair. Here are some brief points:

  3. Its the best hair type for dreadlocks
  4. Protective hairstyles like twists and braids hold up very well for quite some time
  5. Even though shrinkage is annoying sometimes it creates some pretty cute styles

I am not a Christian but a follower of Christ

"Are you a Christian?" Many christians have asked me this question. "Joy, are you a Christian?" That question used to annoy me a lot because it made me feel like i was doing something wrong in my life though at that time i would say yes. And now, for me, at this stage in my life its no unfortunately. It sucks right? I know....i know. But truth be told, Christianity was not meant to be a religion, it was meant to be a relationship with God. But with the "christians" of today, its sort of like a religion. It has become so bad that i feel some churches are beginning to misinterpret the bible sometimes. A pastor would quote something from the bible and explain it the way the world sees it. Not realizing that the world is an enemy of God! And then there's whole thing of not allowing prostitutes of coming to church yet Jesus accepted a prostitute over a religious man(a righteous man who sinned less!).
